The Day I Prayed Twice and Smiled Thrice
Yesterday was a bit different. I forgot to write my blog not because I was lazy, but because something meaningful happened. As I mentioned in my earlier post, I met my research supervisor. It wasn’t just another routine meeting. I opened up about everything my research progress, my delays, and a little bit about life too. She listened with patience, gave me hope, and said something I didn’t expect: “Let’s finish this thesis by this week.” And not just that, she prayed for me. That moment felt like someone had switched on a light inside me.
After the meeting, I visited the Vadipatti Matha Temple. I don’t usually go there, but something inside me said I should. I prayed for my thesis and my job all the grown-up stuff. Here’s the twist: the very same evening, my bus route took me past the same temple again. Coincidence? I don’t think so. I looked at the temple from the bus, closed my eyes, and whispered the same prayer again. That moment felt like magic simple, powerful, and unforgettable.
Today was another kind of adventure. I attended a six-day TTT (Train The Trainer) program at CIT, Coimbatore. The moment I entered the campus, I was amazed. It looked like a high-tech movie set. For a second, I felt like a first-year student again curious, clueless, and super excited. I met professors from different colleges, and the sessions were not just useful but fun too.
Here comes the highlight during the tea break, I had vada after ages. Crispy, warm, and with just the right amount of chutney. It was not just a snack; it was an emotion.
I rode my bike back home, wrestled with Coimbatore’s traffic, and somehow managed to survive. Now I’m at home, no calls, no pings, just me and my thoughts. My phone, for once, behaved like a saint.
As I write this, I feel grateful for lighthearted mentors, sacred stopovers, surprising snacks, and silent evenings. Let’s see what tomorrow brings. But for now, this is enough magic
