A Day That Needed No Reason...
Today feels different. Not loud, not dramatic just quietly beautiful. I woke up with a light heart, feeling blissful and happy, though I honestly don’t know why. There is no big achievement, no special news, no reason to celebrate. Yet, I feel blessed. Sometimes, happiness arrives without knocking, and today it chose me.
Soft, melodious music played in my ears as I sat by the window. The weather felt pleasant, almost kind, as if the sky itself decided to slow down for a while. The bus journey to college became more than just travel. It felt like a pause button in a fast forward life. Watching people, trees passing by, roadside tea stalls, and children laughing it all felt comforting. Nothing extraordinary, yet everything felt enough.
Yes, there are many works waiting at college classes, responsibilities, deadlines, and plans. Normally, these thoughts would tighten my mind. But today, they didn’t. Instead, I smiled at them and let them wait. For once, my mind chose peace over pressure.
Suddenly, an old memory played like a song Hakuna Matata from my favorite vintage cartoon series The Lion King. That carefree tune echoed inside me. “No worries, no tension.” I realized that today, without trying, I was living that principle. No unnecessary commitments, no heavy expectations, no fear about tomorrow. Just being present.
At one point, a small incident made me smile even more. An elderly man in the bus shared his seat with a schoolboy and cracked a joke. Everyone around laughed, including me. That simple human moment reminded me that joy lives in ordinary places.
Today taught me something gentle yet powerful: happiness doesn’t always need a reason. Sometimes, it is found in music, weather, travel, memories, and letting go. And today, I chose Hakuna Matata just for my mind.
